The Worshipful Company of Fletchers
Master's diary
22 March The Mistress Fletcher attended a tour of HQS WELLINGTON and lunch onboard afterwards with other mistresses, hosted by the Mistress Master Mariner.

24 March The Master attended a meeting of the Charity Committee in the Hall during which the Trustees generously awarded, inter alia, £1000 towards the National Arboretum, the Master’s chosen charity for his year.

27 March The Master and his wife Anne attended the British Blind Sport archery competition at Lilleshall, the national sport centre. The Fletchers’ Trust generously supports this very worthwhile charity and Julia Clark, the daughter of the late Past Master Des Clark, is running in the London Marathon to raise money for BBS. The Chairman of the Trustees and Charity Committee, Christopher Brown and his wife also attended.

30 March The Master attended an informal lunch in the City with a select group of members of the Cat’s Whiskers, the Master’s association for his year.

12 April The Master attended the Sea Pie Supper for Masters onboard HQS WELLINGTON, moored by Temple along the embankment spanning the border between the City and Westminster.. The term Sea Pie Supper is an old sea expression indicating a meal put together with scraps (typically old salt beef) for the crew of a sailing ship. This occasion was somewhat different with excellent food and wine, accompanied by wardroom games, sea shanty singing and a film of working in sailing ships in some tricky sea conditions. The supper was hosted by the Chairman of the Wellington Trust which runs the ship as a livery hall.

15 April The Master attended a meeting of the Mayoralty Group in the Hall, before chairing the first part of a Court Meeting during which he installed Alderman Bob Hall as Master.
